My Custom Guitar

Posted by ZacTaylorTunes - December 5th, 2023

It's not in my hands quite yet, but Balaguer sent me the photos of my finished select custom guitar. Not my first Balaguer but it's already my favorite. I don't have alot of friends or family who are as into guitars and music as me so I thought I'd share my excitment here. Here are the photos!

Right?!

Congratulations. I live at the verge of poverty and that will be the case in the forseeable future so I can't afford a custom guitar but I guess that's life.

Thanks! I definitely had help with this. Student loan debt definitely has me on the line as well, I'm very lucky to be getting this. The player matters more than the gear anyways!

@ZacTaylorTunes OH yes. My wife never understands the excitement of a new guitar. The tuning and setup sucks usually lol. I'm picky with string height

Haha they never do! I'm right there with you. I'm also very particular about my setup haha, I'm still getting the hang of doing my own setups but nothing beats a properly intonated instrument

@ZacTaylorTunes I bought 4 guitars at the same time last year and had to set them all up with different tunings and string gauges. It was a nightmare! But I learned a lot lol. Thankfully none were Floyd roses. Gotta have the intonation perfect! Especially when it's for those lower tunings.

It's a hassle but I bet it was so worth it, they just feel so good after a setup. Haha yeah the floyds are a battle for sure, I only have one but I honestly just let a pro set it up cause I'm just not there yet haha

@CzySzy
That still leaves you with the option of picking up an old busted guitar, restoring it to it's former glory, then customising it yourself.

Not sayin its easy. But certainly possible.

This is an awesome idea, you see people turn squiers ect into absolute machines with just a modifications all the time
